ABOUT MADDE
An Introduction
Madde is a songwriter/performing artist from Chico, California. Madde has been relentlessly touring since 2015 and has released three striking albums since: Q.E.D. (2016), One More Hour (2018), and The Salt To Walk On (2022). Madde has a lot to say and a lot to speak for, never failing to disappoint a crowd. Just one person, ready to destroy ear canals, as she is unapologetic and unafraid. Madde is going far in this world, whatever that means, and wants you to join her for the ride.
The History of Madde
As mentioned before, Madde has been playing shows since 2015, starting by recording songs in her bedroom and quickly realizing she was put on planet earth to do this, write music. After one year of recording and producing (while still in high school), she released her debut album, Q.E.D. [2016], which she wrote and arranged entirely. After graduating high school in 2017, Madde moved to Los Angeles, CA, to pursue music school at the Los Angeles College of Music. Here, she released her sophomore album, One More Hour [2018]. She began touring as a 2-piece with her friend and drummer, Justin Almazan. After a year and a half of school, Madde dropped out to focus on touring (she planned to drop out all along as soon as she found her band). Touring around the West Coast for most of 2019, it soon halted as COVID-19 hit the world. Madde and Justin tried to keep up with the changing world, but life happens, and health problems arose for her. She ended up in the hospital, where she was stuck with nothing but pens and paper, so she wrote, and then wrote some more, forming the base of her third album. After she was released from the hospital, she took a year to heal and establish the structure of her third album, deciding she wanted to go in a separate direction from Justin's. As a result, they naturally parted ways. In 2021, Madde flew to the United Kingdom to record the album with her dear friend, Natalie Nimmo. After a month of recording and writing and 4 months of production, The Salt To Walk On was released on April 8th, 2022. The day after the album's release, she began touring for three months straight, selling out headlining shows and concluding the tour by opening for Crawlers (UK) on the final leg of their first US/CAN tour. Now, Madde is writing/recording the 4th album and preparing for a bright future. Get ready, because Madde is.
